Ok, I just started to grow and I really don't have much money. Right now I’ve got the seeds ready to be planted. My first question is how big of light should I purchase for right now I’m probably just going to stay with CFL, then maybe get a HID later one. However, I don't want something that's going to take up a lot of power, just because I don't want to waste a lot of money and I'm only going to grow one to two for now. I know the chance of getting a female is slim, but that's fine. (which, takes me into my other question, is there anything I can do to increase the chances of getting a female?) Then lastly, with watering. Should I just water the plant until it looks like the soil can't hold anymore. Like you do to flowers Then wait till it dry on the top? Well, thanks for your help in advance

I know i have a lot more reading to do, but i thought i would just asked a few questions.

#1 Get as big as a light as you can afford 42w cfl's do fine and you can pick them up at any whore-mart wal-mart
#2 Start from clones (lol) all females Just make sure you plant into at least a three gallon containor so you dont limit the tap roots downward travel. As little stress on the plant as possible will produce more females( Ive heard) I know that if you plant in a small pot you are more likly to get males since the plant thinks it is in crowded growing space.
#3 get a water meter or water only when you pot is completly dry and inch down in the soil at least. Water twice the volume of soil 1 gallon of soil mean water 2 gallons of water. this ensures that the soil is evenly moist. You must have good drainage on your soil other wise you will drown them so do your soil right and you will get good results. Look at my gallery as everything I have told you I do myself on my ladies. Get a water meter as over watering will produce crappy buds and is well worth the $10 or so they cost.

If u´re not able to get clones there is a product called sensi soak that will increase the % of u getting female plants, appart from that ^^^^^^ ditto.....Peace and Pot dude...
