autoflowers ... flower on they own... they do best 18/6 20/4 and some auto's pending on strain do good under 24/0...im doing a lowryder dwarf mix 18/6 the whole way
How would you run your light cycle on an lowryder auto flower?
Here is my mental conflict... if it auto flowers and i run it 20/4 will it grow more due to the light being on longer? Or if i run it 12/12 will it produce the same or more because it is in flower mode anyway.
Experienced advice is best, but your thoughts are appericated, please let me know if it is your thoughts or experience talking.
Thanks in advance for your input.
Of course this is a purely hypothetical situation. I dont grow weed...
thanks LAX! i realize they do not flower based on a light cycle i am wondering if anyone ever measured output on various light cycles for auto flowers. will it produce the same amount on 12 hrs, 18, 20, 24?? i think some guys run the entire thing on 24 lights. but if the plant produces the same amount on 12 as 24 then why run 24... see my point.
24/0 is a waste, diminishing returns. I run mine 20/4. If you run 12/12 you may not get as much yield, because that
means you end up with 56 hours less grow time each week than if you did 20/4, which adds up to losing more than 2 days of
grow time each week.
some do 18/6, some do 20/4. The seed breeders recommend 20/4.
i got a dieselryder 3 weeks in on 20/4 and shes doing GREAT!!!!! just started flowerin monday!
If you havent danced yet,...What the &%$! did you come here for?!?!
Thanks - Skeksis - i think you understood the question. I am wondering if you run 24/0 will it produce more than 20/4 because you have 4 hours more grow time each day... or will it just tire out the plants and produce poor root development. my brain says 20% more grow time means 20% more grow... but i read that running the lights 24/0 is not good because the plants dont get rest time which leads to poor root development. the girl has been growing like a weed from seed till sexing at 18 days on 24/0. four days ago she was switched to 20/4 and i dont really see a diffrence in growth rate or health.
