does any one have suggestions about what brands of these bulbs to trust, how many watts do i need of each for two plants? what special things do i need for these bulbs....any exhaust required, distancesfrom plants .....enclosed unprotected, what the hell does that mean ....any help would be great thanks

Enclosed hood with shatterproof glass is good in case your bulb explodes(fairly rare, quite dangerous).
