quick question concerning lighting

I'm considering growing a couple of plants in the near future, provided opportune space is available to grow, though I have one question concerning lighting. my plan is to use 5 fluorescent bulbs (2 4' bulbs, 3 24" bulbs) as well as 6 26 watt cfl's (100 watt equivalent). My question is concerning the cfls's, as they are rated at 5500K, as opposed to 6500K, will this be a problem for me during vegetative growth?

As well, my other bulbs are all 6500K.

No they will work i like to use a mix to give them all diff. specs of light but that will work just fine. FYI i would use all cfl's if i were you they work better in my opinion. Hope this helped.

the colors will work the 5500k are ok not best but will work.

if my math is correct:

4' flows 40 watts each = 80watts
2' flows 20 watts each = 120watts
cfl's 26 watts each = 156 watts

total of 346 watts of fluorescent lighting?

you may be ready to jump up to a 250 watt mh or hps

also 6500k is for veg so flows work great, but at flower I wood think about what light you should use. the single 250 watt light will put out more light for less watts of power.

but if thats what you have and you can get the 250 now you can still grow. At flower you will want to trade most to all ofe the light for a color around 2100k to 2700k or around. some grower will leave a few 6500k in.
