I Want to buy either 1x1000 Watt hps/mh or 2x400 watt hps/mh setup!

Well, two 400s would cover more area, allowing for more plants... but, someone with more experience would have to answer the yield question.

the 1000w light has more penetration power than two-400w lights and it also outputs more lumes than two-400w lights, the thousand watter would be better all around unless your grow area is skinny and long, then two-400's wouldnt be a bad idea

I think the 2 400 watters would be better seeing you could get them closer to the plants without burning them while covering more area. The Lumes on the 1000 watter would probably be less because of the height it would need to be at. So in the end youd get more lumes per watt from the 400's

400w HPS puts out about 50 000 Lumens. A 1000w HPS puts out 126 000 Lumens.

Simple math. Unless your worried about heat go with the 1000w or if you want 2 lights, use 2 600w HPS. A 600w HPS puts out 98 000 lumens, almost double and only 200w more than a 400.

you could go 3 4oowatt hps with a 150 watt mh in the middle i would sugest that
