well here are some updates on my purple haze 12/12 grow i think that this strain goes alittle bit slower than the other strain that i had but everything iz looking good the first leaves that feeds the plant is turning yellow probably nute burn or no light mostlikely the light i have 5 24=100 watt cfls for my babyz this is the end of the second week and so far so good!! hey blue tick what nutes and lights are you useing and are you doing your plants by soil??

Yes it is soil. I am using 1-1.5 TSP Grow Big by Fox Farms, 1/4tsp Big Bud, 1/4tsp Tiger Bloom, a few drops hydrogen peroxide per gal. and 1 drop Superthrive every other watering. Also using a 1000hps.

Do you have any cups on the outside of those clear cups? If not you need to sleeve them so the light does not get to your roots. In the picture I did not see any. I am just following Randy's schedule here pretty much. I do not have any cha-ching as of yet and that is the only difference. Here is week 3 as of today.

Gday new to growing and first time at anything 85 to 95 percent sativa serious seeds Kalimist did not exactly no what to expect started flower at 22 inch mistake wrestling with them now in third week of flower and they go for 70 to 90 days.

Anyway i have 18 of them left to practice on next time i bust them I plan to try your 12/12 sysfrom the jump street
see how that works out. I will need someone to fill me in on steps feeding what not. Also maybe try starting a couple at about 12 inches see how that goes as well.

oh but yeah i was just watering them and when i do i always take the red sleeve off to see how the roots are doing! yours are really taking off man i cant really get my hands on fox farms so im using what i got! did you ever use mg for ne of your grows? if so how was the harvest?? harsh??

Good to see this thread still running on like an express train Mr RR!

Heres what I'm up to with my 12/12 from seed grows:

Strain : Northern Lights by Nirvana, feminised. Ordered just the 4 seeds (from picknmix seeds), all 4 germed within 28 hours and are currently at day 30 from germination/ 12/12 from day 1 of course!

Nutrients: Just one drop of superthrive so far!! Then bio bizz grow/bloom & canna PK 13/14 when the time comes.

Soil: Free draining loam based 'bonsia' soil, pots lined with about an inch layer of 'sphagnum moss to hold that water a round those roots. Its great stuff and I would not grow without thesedays. I'd be happy to let you know more about the moss layer, just ask away.

Lights: CFL's! 350 watts. small cabinet shown below.

Pics show the first 30 days in a series with notes aded if you enlarge them. I hope they show just how fast things develop using our 'our' method.

I grow 2 per pot, but PLEASE dont post telling me not to!! ...... its just my method of choice and does the job for me!

Looks good. There is plenty of room in those pots I think for two to grow. Would not try a full veg and full flower with two in a pot though.

Did you apply anything to force them to show signs of sex, or did they just appear on their own?

if I were vegging for a few weeks I wouldnt do 2 per pot myself! The key with 12/12 from seed is that you get a much smaller root mass so 2 are no problem, I do it every grow!

No forcing at all...another advantage of 12/12 seed is the fact that they show sex so fast, 18 to 21 days on average I find.

I've evolved my methods over the past 13 years, (been smoking the herb for over 30 years now though!!). In an ideal world I'd go back to growing 'larger' plants in a bigger space again BUT unfortunately an early morning knock on the door a couple of years back resulting in a day spent locked in a cell has made me wary! I'm happy with this thesedays
