Hey all, here are my 2 lil girls. Talk about DIY boxes, they sprouted a few days ago and the only way I can keep the humidity up in the box right now is to mist the inside of cups (with holes placed in them) and place them over the girls. I have the cups on during light on and take them off when the lights go out. It's a chore but they are THRIVING! Woke up this morning to take the cups off and the leaves are getting bigger. so I guess I'm doing something right. This is just a test grow, to see exactly how cheap I can do this, so far I only spent money on the bulbs. YAY for me!!

the box: just a carboard box we had left over from moving, the light fixture is one of those spider lamps that I took off the stand this way I can move the lights around the plants as they get bigger. The fan right now is my only one but seems to be doing okay for now, I will get another soon, came from an old PC we had. the potting soil is some cheap stuff I got from a green house months ago (5 euro for 40lbs). I used foil in the box and seemed it together with a hot glue gun, (I'm a pretty crafty lady)

Yes I know the temp is high, but I will be getting another fan VERY soon, and the temp difference when the lights are out is only 10degrees.

2cd time i spent the whole night reading a whole thread and both times it was yours, go figure huh.
I have a couple questions
i am looking into building a aeroponic system (like this http://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=...=article&id=44 ). you think this 12/12 from seed would work outof this? me myelf i would THINK it would beperfect but imma noobee so i ask questions. have not seen many hydro growers in this thread is all but did see 1 i think.
now i read this whole thread so i should know this answer but i am a lil fuzzy on this part. i am going to use those Grodan Rockwool 1.5" cubes in 3.5 inch netpots. you dont use these or grow this way but thats not important. i will be germing my seeds in these and i am hazy on the light here. will i keep these in the dark until i see those lil round leaves then switch the 250 watt hps to 12/12 or would i use cfls or somthing on a different light schedule for a few days so that i dont nuke the seedling? thats a long ass ssentence pardon me.
ok last question what does DWC and LST stand for? see it alot and it is common knowledge to all but me. prolly the dumbest question in the thread but its killin me softly.

Here's a quick 2 shots of my 4 Nirvana Northern Lights fems at day 15 from germination, 12/12 of course from seed! Stealth type grow, 350watts CFL's. same 2 per pot set up that produced the Kush plants pictured a couple of pages back here My standard method since starting 12/12 from seed grows, with no problems. PLenty of room in there for 2 sets of roots!

I came home from a hard day at work to tend to my ladies. I had found that my timer had quit on the water and the exhaust blower had been tempermental and decide to go on strike!!!



10 Days later and alot of string to tie them up!!
