Is it possible and/or effective to supplement your plants with co2 using a candle?

You'll have more co2 than you can handle when your grow room catches on fire.

So your idea is to create an open flame that sucks all the Oxygen out of the room?

NO, your plants also need oxygen.

You are better off taking an old milk jug and mixing 1/2 water with a packet of yeast and 5-6 cups of sugar. Puts off plenty of CO2 and your plants will love it.
