Yeah? Ill keep that in mind
I havent taken the jump yet. The 400w set up I have has a switch on it for MH also. I am going to get another 400w set up so I can use what I have now for veg. Probably wont be until around my birthday though(4-5 months)

My friend, you can go with a 400w hps for the whole grow. As do i.
As for the 400w 600w confusion, 600 watts may be 10 dollars more but you must think about in the long run on how much this setup will be costing you each month. It may not be that much difference but still you want it to be suitable for ur budget. good luck mate |

the lumans are quite a bit different. 400wtt has 40,000 to 50,000 lumans and the 600wtt has 90,000 lumans.

i would go with an air cooled 600, for 200 more watts you can have almost double the light so its really a no brainer, you will need to air cool it but thats not very hard at all, otherwise you should go with t5's, they actually put off more heat than an hps or halide of the same wattage its just that they spread it out over a larger space so it seems cooler but it is not

I think you should check this out:
http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct...roductID=52167 It's a trusted website, comes with everything your gonna need, best prices you will ever find, and it takes very little to setup. For your space, 400 w is perfect. And the kit can let you alternate between MH light bulb for when their Vegetating and HPS light bulb when their Flowering. Plus nutrients and mylar which would be expensive as fuck if you bought them alone.
