Light Bulbs?

If I had 2 plain lamps, would it be easily done by just replacing my current Fluorescent bulbs with the ones on this site?

I dont tink so. But I could be wronge. To my knowledge they need a special balast to work. Try google "100w hps sockets" or somethign along those lines to see if they will.

u need a balast to make it work but they sell them on that same site for cheap and they include mounting hardware

hate to be a told you so but metal halide is for veging and hps is for flowering.

its not needed though you can do MH throught the grow or HPS you just get better results. You will still see good results from a MH the whole grow but better results from HPS in flowering and MH for veg.

i have a chance to get some 150w mh halogens (1-4Ofthem)
(currently 4*23w cfls=6100 lumans)

halogens won't grow pot. stick with CFL or make the jump to mh or hps...

halogen wont grow shit, they are wrong spectrum plus they give off mad heat, a small hps is the way to go but you need a ballast to run it, do not screw the bulb in to a regular socket even if it fits, look on this site and check out the $20 hps, you can get small units with the ballast included for really cheap, i know home depot has 70 watt hps for like $60 so if your tight on cash thats the way to go
