Hey guys, sorry if this is already posted, but the thread is so long, there is no way I could get through it without sitting here all night.
I have the cap 12 site ebb and flow, and am currently using hydroton. Everybody I know swears by coco, so I want to give it a shot. Do you think it is possible to run coco in this setup? Do you think it will clog my lines? What kind of material would I need to get to prevent clogging? Also I use floranova grow and bloom. Will these nutrients work in coco, or should I go with a coco specific nutrient? If so what kind is recommended in this setup? Again sorry for the long post, and the question if it has already been asked, but I think making the jump to coco will definetely pay off. Sorry, one more question, what brand of coco do you guys recommend? Thanks in advance. |

I have used FloraNova nutes in coco but I have had better results with coco specific nutes like Canna or House and Garden. When you flood the coco I have heard several people flood the bottom 2 inches and let the coco wick up the water that it needs.

Do you think it would work to put a smart pot in my 2 gallon bucket? Can water go through those things? I've been reading through the thread and I saw that mentioned, but am not sure if that would work in my particular situation.

Ya, Smart Pot is a good option if you want to pay for them. Heck you could just stack the thing full of those with no buckets. That way you get to utilize the Smart Pot's benefits...ie auto root pruning.

What ICHI said, why put the smart pot in a plastic pot. take full advantage of the air pruning of roots in smart pots. |
