Default Protective glass on HPS

Hi guys, i just rememberd this morning that the protective glass in still attached to the HPS. Could this be why my plants have heat stress?? Does anyone know.
Common sense tells me to take it off but just double checking that it should be removed. Cos its roasting hot....

If you take it off, it'll be even hotter. Leave it on.
Try improving your ventilation instead.

If you have an air cooled system and your not running ventilation through it then yes take it off..its my under standing the hotter the bulb the shittier your bulb life is gonna be..its a give and take i think..one way or the other Videomans probably got your solution...More ventilation
