i got my hands on a few 70watt HPS bulbs
Sylvania Light Bulb 67504 - LU70/MED - 70 watt E17 Medium Base Clear Universal Burn General Lighting High Pressure Sodium Sylvania Light Bulb at ServiceLighting.com thats the light, it screws into a normal lamp outlet just fine but doesnt turn on, would i need some kind of special ballast for this thing to light up? or could i find somethin cheap at home depot that will light this guy up, cause if i have to end up buyinga 80$ ballast i might as well invest in a 600w bulb, its just i got these for free, that website also has some fairly cheap 400w hps bulbs, like 25$, they just as good as more expensive bulbs? haha they also have a bulb that puts out 1.7 million lumens, thatd be a nice little bulb Last edited by hossfield; 05-30-2007 at 01:04 PM.. |

Yes you need a ballast. No idea whether you'll find a cheap one at Home Depot or whatever - have a look for a 70w HPS ballast and see how much they cost.
