ok i have decided of how i am going to do this

in my 6 ft x 4ft with 8 ft celing

i am going to have 1 x 400w hps and 1x 400 mh

i am going to use mh for vegging
and once i flower i am going to use both hps and mh

for ventilation i am going to have a vortex fan with a carbon filter that sucks air and vents it outside .
i was thinking i am going to have another vortex fan that sucks in air from outside to bring fresh air into the room

i want to build the uiltimate small grow room

any suggestions any body?

Use larger wattage lights 600 or 1000 if you are going to buy them thats a good sized room

yup i use 1000 hps in a 4x4 area

go with 2 600 watt hps , if you got the money get a hps/mh switchable ballast and use one for veg aswell .

Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you think your room should be split in half, one half for vegging and one half for flowering. Most folks,myself included make this mistake when setting up thier areas. If you take a quick look through Al B Fucts journal, how to get a harvest every two weeks, you will see this is not accurate. One set of shelves, 4ft by 18" would give you all the room you need for for clones and mothers.
Everyone wants to start with the lights. We are excited about getting started and go spend all of our available cash on getting big lights. We might be better served in the long run with setting up a good cloning/mother plant area and then worry about the rest of the operation. If you don't have a seperate area for this, then that is going to leave you with about a 4' by 4' area and one 600 watt light will cover that area assuming you do the other things right.
