Default totally, but how about wiring it in?
ya i had no idea HPS lighting was available for so cheap, until this point i have been looking at 'grow' lights for a 150w its like 160$ when all said an done, being able to get 300w worth for 40$ makes me so stoked, but the part i dont understand is how I get power to the lights, they dont come with DC plug ins right?

Go read this thread, see what other people do with them with pictures.

You don't need to do all that work remote ballasting the things, you'll see how easy it is to put a plug on in that thread.

I wouldnt do this if you lived in an apartment and was uncertain if you can wire it up safley. I would suggest for you to get a pre-wired setup if this is the case. You dont want to put other peoples lifes at risk .. and if you dont know how to wire something up... (even thought its not hard for someone thats done it lots of times) then dont try it in a house full of people

I have said how to wire it so many times now it's insane. I need to take pictures and probably will.

You take a cord any 3 prong cord like a computer power cord or extension cord or whatever. You cut the end off that doesn't plug in the wall. You strip the insulation off that end of all three wires. You take those wires and connect to the three wires coming out the back of the light, black to black, white to white, ground to ground with three wire nuts....

That is all.

You can wire both lights on one cord, or wire ea individually and plug into a surge protector. I like individually going into surge protector.
