This morning I woke to find my 8 day old seedlings are slightly wilting and have tiny brown marks on some of the leaves. They are growing under flourecent light 24X7 in a polystyrene growing bin, any ideas?

well how far away is your light, how often do u water, is there a fan on them, have you done anything else with them... gonna need a little more info..

all of my statements are total crap ...don't believe anything I say.

light is about 12 inches away from them, no fan have been keeping growing media wet using superthrive in water with a small amount fertilizer mixed in the water.

Lights are abit to close and stop with the nutes untill they are at least 3 weeks old!

No way lights are 2 close if hes using fluorescent lights. You want to be as close as possible without burning(which is pretty hard to do with fluorescents).

What wattage are the lights?

what they said.. (mostley)...get those lights as close as you can. 1-2in. ...test it with the back of your hand...if it's too warm for you it's too warm for the little ones... and ya no nutes till they need it... also if your growing in dirt/ like medium...your pots should dry out almost completely before being re-watered.

had similar problems myself at first... it's all trial and error and learning from the errors...good luck.
