anyway i got a new cabinet built. the interior dimensions are 33w x 19d and 2 shelves one 35h the other 31h. anyway on one of the shelves i was going to keep a mother. on the other shelf im going to flower. i have a smaller cab for clones. i wont have a veg area other then my clone cab because i was going to try a sog grow on a small scale. once the clones take root they will go straight to flower. im going to keep the clones under cfl's and the mother under a 2 foot t5. based on the 50 watt per sq/ft general rule of thumb i could put a 250 watt hps cool tube on the flower shelf. my question is , is it worth it to try doing a mini sog grow in this cabinet with a 250watt hps? or should i go with a 400 watt? or should i just forget the sog grow and maybe do a mini scrog with maybe 2 plants. is a 400 watt hps cooltube overkill for a space this small? sorry for all the questions, and thanks for the help in advance.

one more thing. i was also thinking about flowering with a 6 bulb 2ft t5 fixture, just to cut down on heat. also it would save energy because i wouldnt have to run a second inline fan too cool the hps(already running one for my carbon scrubber). what you guys think>

I would say 400 watts but that decision could be influcened by heat build up. An air cooled hood is a must of course. How are you set up for venting your heat out?

well if i go with a hps its gonna be a cooltube . also there will be some other small exhaust fans as well as my carbon scrubber hooked up to a 6in inline fan. im almost thinking about putting the mother in another small cab and taking and putting t5 fixtures on both shelves and flowering on both shelves. so i take my clones, root them , then fill both shelves up. i know i wont get as dense buds with the t5's but heat and energy will be down. not sure yet though.
