Default Most suitable lighting?!
I don't have much of a choice nor can my budget afford the best lighting. I grow few plants at a time and I have some random lights, sticks.

Well I found a good store selling lights at my country (we don't have like Home Depo's and stuff where you get everything you need, it's pretty fucked up I know).

Anyway, heres the links, don't worry, the light descriptions are in english. So if you guys could help me out here.

Fluorescent lamps - Tevalo tehnikapood
Fluorescent lamp T5, 16 mm - Tevalo tehnikapood
Cold-cathode fluorescent lamp, white - Tevalo tehnikapood
UV fluorescent lamp - Tevalo tehnikapood
Fluorescent tube, 40w, white - Tevalo tehnikapood

Is this one even safe for my plants?

I'd be scared of that UV lamp. Sounds like something for suntanning...or worse...

the t-5s are nice lights that put out a good amount of light and work well for vegatative growth. They put out more light than the 5th choice..regular
25- 40 watt floros we call "shop lights" here.

Can you buy HID/ hps/MH lights there for flowering or will you have to use the floros?

good luck in your search.

I agree....Not sure if you can find any where you are though. If not...go with compact fluro lights. The more watts the better.

Yeah UV is very bad for your plants. But the others seem ok, but can you get these type of fluorescent lights. They wont be really long like the 1's there.

Fluorescent lamps - Tevalo tehnikapood
Fluorescent lamp T5, 16 mm - Tevalo tehnikapood
These 2 shud b gd for flowering the plant

Cold-cathode fluorescent lamp, white - Tevalo tehnikapood
Fluorescent tube, 40w, white - Tevalo tehnikapood
These 2 shud b gd for vegging the plant
But can use all for throughout the grow
Its up to you tho as some of these lights will be very long so depends on your grow room

Thank you, I found this as well, is it better than the t5?

E27, mercury discharge lamp - Tevalo tehnikapood

There probably are places where I could get the proper lights but they are almost impossible to find and I don't want to raise too much suspicion.

jimbo jim - are these the ones or are they too weak?

Compact fluorescent lamp, G24 - Tevalo tehnikapood
Compact fluorescent lamp, 2G11 - Tevalo tehnikapood
Compact fluorescent lamp, 2G7 - Tevalo tehnikapood

hm, I always thought UV is a good thing for plants :P

Hey guys, I am currently using a 200w envirolite, Have you heard of these..

A New Generation of EnvirolitesSelf Ballasting Lamps – simple to install & wire
• 100% PAR in the correct spectrum for growing
• Generating much less heat than HID Lamps
• Will not burn your plants or fingers!
• Energy saving lamps – lower operating costs
• High Lumen Output – directly above plants

This new generation of low energy use, high efficiency, environmentally friendly horticultural lamps are designed for propagating, supplementary lighting and for growing plants, flowers, fruits and herbs all year round. Gardeners want to enjoy their gardening all through the year, with energy efficient Envirolites this is now possible ! Each lamp gives 100% PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) light resulting in impressive plant growth. Plants need PAR energy and Envirolites are specifically designed horticultural lamps guaranteed to give maximum PAR energy and light in the correct spectrum.Envirolites give your plants full spectrum light between 400 and 700nw – which means great growth results in all propagation, vegetative or flowering stages and because they do not generate too much heat they can be used directly ( 5 to 6cms ) over plants using Envirolite Reflectors or hung in between plants to give supplementary lighting with our Lamp Hangers. Genuine Envirolites are available in 200w or 125w lamps. Both models are available in 2 * colours:
*6400K (Kelvin) is a white / blue spectrum lamp, ideal for propagation and vegetative stage growing.
*2700K (Kelvin) is a red spectrum lamp, designed for flowering stage growing

Would appreaciated you input

Or White Widow among the strains to those who didn't understand

Turkish..

That lamp in the link is a Mercury Vapor lamp that is not really recommended for growing.

UV lamps put out heat...not good.

What do they use in your country for streetlights? Here in the US...all of the ORANGE light in the sky is high pressure sodium....and the blue lights are the Metal halides...

good luck

they are all good but they dont produce much light so u need a lot of them. Maybe 10 or more of those for one plant. Get the bigger light (200w envirolite) if you can but otherwise get as many of the smaller lights as possible and put them 2inches from the plant. They will work ok

But try to get the same lights that screw in as they will fit most light sockets
