Default cost of 1000W hps light on 24/0
So I have a book, the cannabis grow bible, that tells me how much it should cost to run a 1000W hps light per month based on the cost per kw hour your electric company charges you. I worked it out using the simple formula and came up with $230 dollars for the first month just to run the light under a 24/0 schedule. I feel like that is wrong, and have read it should cost around 60 dollars a month, not 230. I am in hawaii however, and cost of electricity is pretty expensive. Looking at my bill the cost of electricity per kwh works out to be approx 30 cents. So per day, a 1000w light would be 30 cents times 24 hours...equaling 7.2 dollars a day? which is over 200 a month...is this correct??? Or am I paying way to much on my share of the bill???
