So i went crazy, got me a 400watt hps, got myself 2 42 watt warm cfls, and just on the 4th day, today when these pics were taken added in the blue fish tank light. The fish tank light says Marine-Glo its 20watt and is literally blue. I thought it was cooler than a black light at the time for my fish tank, and now im wondering from the experts in here, Is it perfect actually for ganja or of no use at all. If it isnt going to help i need the space for venting soon and no other heat generation devices needed.

So this is day 4 in general, day 6 including the 2 days germinating in paper towels. The $20 of dro is for size comparison, you can see in the pics my whole setup 2 cfls 1 20watt fish tank blue light and the 400watt HPS hanging ready to bathe that closet in lumens. Ive yet to implement the door behind the door ive thought up for this stealth closet grow. Only worry is heat but im putting in and out fans in the door behind the real closet door. Pics will be here when its done. Hope it works or im doing the double wardrobe thing someone did on here.

other than that nice plants but you will need some more cfls or go for an MH conversion light. It will work in your HPS setup.

Forgot to mention, the babies in the pics arent the bigbud, there actually test dummies of really shitty trees i get down the block. Like $60 an ounce literally crap weed. So itll be funny if I finish them and there awesome, but i doubt it. But Im not a liar..I ordered a sack of bigbud seeds from N vana a week ago now. and im starting those up the second i get them. And then seeing if I should keep these dirt weed plants. Im dying here waiting i hope they make it. Im posting some pics of the bud of the big.

Im thinking about it. I have a 400Watt MH ballast and lamp, no hood though, its different from my HPS setup and im waiting for a friend of mine to actually connect the damn together one day. But I may put it in there, depending how hot it gets with this HPS and the door im going to build. And also id have to rig something for it cause its just a loose bulb socket with loose wires.

about space I threw a bunch of seeds in a pot and so many grew that i wasnt expecting. Im not sure Im gonna even keep them so I may just let them fight it out to be honest, before death. I pulled out like 5 already. Its so sad doing it even at this stage. But i may leave it 3 in each

So its hard as hell to take pictures with lights on and there on a 24 hour schedule because im still in the building phase and dont quite know what time will be start on. But they havnt changed in size much. One of them has 1 inch leaves already, another looks like its reaching for the sky, including the leaves pointing up and I killed 2 of them cause they were growing slow. Also as i get setup and build, certain lights go on and off so its easier for now 24on. So ive been doing way too much reading, and i found out about swamp coolers. So theyre advertised humidifiers, air coolers, and air purification. 3 things in one, Is it a dream come true? or is there something i dont know.

Closet is 9 feet tall, 5 feet wide, and only 2 feet deep.

Question 1?: Is the blue fish tank light good, is it helping. Is it helping alot. Everyone says blue at the veg state. So its literally blue light, is it the same. Says marine-glo and 20watt on it. thats it.

Question 2?: Is a swamp cooler a good buy, there air cleaners (maybe smell cleaner also) Humidifiers, and air coolers. So itll cool the 400watt HPS, clean the air maybe of bad smells, and give me some humidity as its 30 or lower being its in a closed off closet. Worth it or not? theyre $100 - $150

Question 3?: Should I just turn that HPS on already, I mean should i bother vegging with the 2 cfls and 20watt fluoro. Its been a week and theyre like 2 inches tall. Worst case is theyll stretch a bit, but i have 9 feet, but why not give them 400watts from start.

And my pics above are still exact, only thing is plants have grown mayve a centimeter more.

So I couldnt take the slow growth there 2inches over 11 days. Not even worth pictures yet, so I put in a venture ballast and 400watt Metal Halide that i had, a friend did the wiring, and i just sparked it 5 minutes ago. Bright as all hell, looks like my closet is heaven, Hoping to see an immediate improvement. So Im taking out that blue light, noone answered my question of it was beneficial and there will be no room for it soon hopefully. I took out the cfls also and the 20 watt fuoroscent, as bright as that MH is on those babies, there not needed.

So can anyone make a guess, if I had a closet 8feet tall 4 feet wide, and 2 feet deep, newbie but with those lights 400MH veg and 400HPS for flower, what is like a realistic goal to harvest? like 2 oz 8oz?

Depends on how many plants you grow how tall you decide to veg them and if you add any side lighting and use good nutes and monitor the temps, the air movement, air exhaust and new air intake. Will you be using any kind of co2 injection? Good soil and big pots? All factors

Holy HOTBOX, that 400MH is hot. Either going to build a tent or get a hydrohut 4x4 soon, cause i dont think the closet is going to work out. I cant cut the door, and im going to need some serious ventilation for these bulbs. I need at least a 200cfm in and a 200cfm out im thinking. Had the door open a half inch with a big 14inch fan on low pointing up and the closet hit 95 degrees in 30 min. This is deffinitely getting to be a project now. I may get the hydrohut if i dont find the cabinets from videomans post soon. Not soo expensive in the long run i guess but annoyed im putting a big ass tent like that in my apartment, but im a pothead, and thats what potheads do. If i get the hut ill put it near the window, and so itll have AC access, fresh air access, and a good exhaust capability. So its leaning that way, im looking at any cabinets, closets, everything, but there just not big enough, so either i stumble on the the ones from videomans post, somebody here knows a cheap cabinet for sale or its hydrohut $250 dollar time. I imagine i have 2 weeks before its no choice decision time but i want to use the closet still so im trying to think of everything. Anyway if i leave the closet door open 5 inches it stays at 85, but my apartment is fuckin too bright
