Minimum height for stealth

i wouldnt go smaller then 4 ft. A large dresser works nicely. The size of the plants depends on the strain and length of veg. If you only grow indica plants they are shorter. You can also top them and use LST to limit height and maximize the harvest.

As far as lights go side lighting is always a plus for undergrowth but you need a sun in the sky above. Indoor growing is basically just trying to simulate the ideal conditions outdoors.

i mean, you could grow in a 2ft tall box..
but, you will need more space..
depending on how much you want to yield..
also, you will need some ventilation for such a small box..
the heat will get trapped in there like boning a chick under a mink blanket..

but, you COULD do an LST grow, with a 2ft tall box..
so, you should look into the link i provided..

Cheers for the link, i'll give it a read. I haven't actually got a box as yet, but the space i have available to hold a box will be about 2ft/2ft/2ft. If growing in a space this small is going to be a problem (bearing in mind that this will be my first ever attempt at growing), i might try and find an alternative location.

i think you will be fine with that space..
if you do an LST grow.. you will only need the height for later..
when you flower & grow all those colas..

Check out FDDs method Advanced LST - old school Bonsai style you can train your plants to fully occupy that space.
2x2x2 is still a pretty small space tho, and you will have to stick to cfl/led light or deal with some serious heat issues. If you want a good yield of quality buds you should try to find more space, vertically at least, so you can flower your babies under an HPS, like they want you to.
