Default building new grow room
I am moving my operation into a new area of my basement due to the fact that growing in the mechanical room can be nerve wracking I had a guy from the gas company come over unannounced who had to check something out on my water heater yesterday and i made him wait upstairs for about 5 minutes while i dismantled the room the best i could. He couldnt tell. But my wife got scared and gave me another area which is much bigger. My question is I have to build a wall to hide the room and also a wall inside to seperate veg from flower. I am in the construction trade therefore i have no worries about building walls power ventilation and all that i just dont know if i should use drywall and paint it white or if i should use the foam insulation with the foil? both are very close in cost and both are easy I dont like painting but if it will help I will do it My wife also didnt like all the extension cords and flourescent lights hanging all over so she told me to get a better light I will be ordering my HPS next friday sorry for the rambling question and i appreciate any answers

If both of them are easy,
and the both accomplish the exact same thing, one no better than other,
and they both cost the same...

mylar is going to be a hell of alot easier to hang, but if I read correctly, your going to be sheetrocking your false wall anyway. I'd go ahead and sheetrock it, you can always mylar over it if it doesn't meet your needs.

High, I am going through the same process of moving and enlarging my grow area. Everything that I have read says to paint flat white. I was thinking that some sheetrock is nearly a flat white to begin with. I am going to try just going with sheetrock un-painted at first. I have also read that foil can actually focus light in some cases and burn plants. I don't know if this is true, but it scares me enough to go with flat white.
