Default It's to hot in here.
Ok so i just got my 250W HPS light, and i put it in my grow room, all my other plants are in a different room, i'm putting the new one together at the moment.

but i've been watching the temps in the new room, and without the light it's about 80F ish, So i left two fans running and it got it down to 71F.

I'm just wondering if the temps sound like they could be a problem once i get the light going on 18\6? Well it's already to high, how much do you guys think the light could make it go up?

If so what kind of fan do you recomend?
I'm in a closet about 5' by 4' i leave the door open at all times.

Another thing, there is a hot water heater, inside one of the pannels?
I was wondering if i should be worried about that? cause it makes hot water and that could be heating up my room.

Lemme know your thoughts thanks a bunch.

Dude, I would believe the hot water heater is playing a roll in this. I run a 250 Hd and a 430 HPS in my room and i have 1 fan running and dont have a huge a problem. Make sure you have good circulation fresh air and you shouldn't have a problem. The only problem i ran into was not enough air during the last 4 weeks of flowering cause i was out too much, resulting in minor bud rot of the top cola.

Is the water heater in the same room or on the other side of it. Not sure what you mean by inside one of the panels. One thing you can do to help control the heat is aim your fan at the light so the air between the bulb and plant is always moving and that'll cool down that area. I have both my rooms at 80f. When the fan wasn't blowing at the light the temps were getting above 85f for me.

Have you grown in this room before?

Thanks dude, ill pop the wall open and have a look while someone is in the shower to see if it gets hot.
I might have to do it in my bedroom i don't mind.

I don't see how it wouldn't be getting colder in there, it's 67F outside, and the heater inside is off most of the time.
And my vent is closed. gonna check temps now.

Temps are at 73F at the moment with the light off. and two fans going.
I'll have to take some pictures and see how i should set it up.

You are going to want to see what your temperature is at while the lights are on. If its too hot with the doors open and is just one plant, try using a normal stand up fan looking into your box, if its like those canva's closet boxes. If this still creates a problem of heat and is not doing the trick for you; you may want to look into getting 2-3 small fans and having them in the corner of your box or where ever, near the lights. Remember though, you need sufficient airflow one way or another. Sufficiety air and Co2 helps incur photosythesis within the plant.

the light is hanging from my clothes rack in my closet i have a stand up fan that's pretty freaking big and then a smaller stand up fan, that is on the table where the plants will be.

Main thing i'm worried about besides the heat is the high winds
And I turned the light on about 10 mins ago, soon as it warms up ill go check the temps and let you guys know, prolly gonna wait a good 30 mins to let it get kinda hot.

It's up to 82F with the light and two fans, I'm going to hop in the shower and i'ma go eat lunch, ill check in once i'm back.

I'm gonna leave it on while i'm gone.
Iight so i just got out of the shower, it's at 82F, so i moved some fans around put one pointing outside the door, to move air out.
then i pointed the smaller one at the light to keep it cooler.
Ill check back after i go out for lunch, I'm pretty sure 82 is it's highest ill check back.
