Here is the trick question:
i grow white russian. really nice bushy plant. use 6500cfls to the max with side lighting comes out to around 6000-7500 lumens per sq foot plants are happy and are super dense with internodes as close as 1/4 of an inch streching into 3/4 of an inch. very fucking dense. there also many shoots coming of from each internode and it seems like the main big fan leaves that come of the main stem just make everything too crowded. i grow them now for 3 weeks into veg and they are only 6 inches tall. is that too short?
can i just cut all the main stem fan leaves off and leave the shoots with their growing fan leaves and the top with it fan leaves? maybe that will transfer some energy into growing tips to grow taller, faster?
i know fan leaves store energy, but if i give the plants nutes, light and fresh supply of co2 it will produce more energy into those smaller growing fan leaves ain't that right?
