Thx buddy Yeah my Co2 is set at 1500 ppm at 2CFH, tube runs around the pots (small ones maybe 4'' tall), going to build an extendable frame for when I transplant (prob out of pvc pipe nothing fancy), and run a co2 line so it leaks out at the top of the pots. I was lucky got a full tank of co2 for free lol, went on ebay got a regulator kit for about $80 with shipping.

jeff, youll be more efficient if you resease your CO2 above your canopy instead of at your pot rim. CO2 is signifigantly heavier than regular air. when i use gas i also make sure i have a ocsilating fan picking it up off the floor too.

i hang it from my light, that way you know its plenty above the plants(we all know the light goes ABOVE the plants right!!!LOL). i had a problem once with the co2 pooling in my flood tray(heavier than air and all) and drowning my roots(roots need O2 not CO2). so i put a weak fan blowing it out of my tray. dont know if you use trays of not but figured it might help.

Its nothing new, they have always been expensive, kinda like how I dont get pissed off when I pay $50 for an HPS bulb.


Its only a couple hundred, one time cost, for an electric reg.

Theres some decent priced ones on ebay got a newreg kit for about $80 with shipping included. It does suck most of the ones in the online shops are like $150+ Those damn little digi TDS and PH meters are expensive too

80 is pretty cheap. i dont have it anymore but my last tds stick was only 40 at my hydro shop. shop around youll find stuff for cheap, i got a air cooled 1000W hps rig for 180 and a 250W hps for 50.

and as far as buying the right stuff, think of the money your NOT spending on dope. an old grower once told me that pennywise is pound stupid.

When you pick a regulator make sure its a kit like this

NEW CO2 Regulator Solenoid Complete Kit - eBay (item 230308798522 end time Nov-26-08 07:49:57 PST)

Then find yourself a tank (I was lucky to get a free 20lb tank) A lot of gas places will do swap outs kinda like stores do with kegs. But find a cheap tank on ebay dont have to be 20lb but I wouldn't get less then a 10lb tank.
And for a timer for the Co2 I got a timer that I set in minutes instead of 10-15 minute intervals (most digital ones lets you set in minutes) If you cant find a 3 prong timer for it (assuming your regulator has a 3 prong plug) you can get an adapter to put on the timer to make it a 3 prong.

Just make sure you check the Co2 calculator, I set my PPM for about 1500 on the Co2 calculator 1500 seems to be what a lot of people recommend. Also remember to set your fans on a timer to turn off while the Co2 is emitting and sacherating the plants (my fans are off for 20 minutes at a cycle) If I set it longer my temps will get too high so keep that in mind too bro
