Everything looks good so far. I've got only one suggestion right now... it's a bad idea to have multiple seedlings in a single pot. The roots will intertwine and you'll end up with an unmanageable mess. One pot = one seedling. Other than that, it looks real good. Congrats on getting everything up and running... you'll be smokin' some nice homegrown dank in no time

good luck to you to mate

so you are using 4" net pots, i would assume the smaller the pot the quicker the roots pop out. What did you do or use to get your roots to touch the DWC water? Hand wateR?

whats wrong with having the roots tangled between each other? Could you give me an example or two where i wouldn't want tangled roots?

The plants will yield less if you grow them together in a single container. This is a pretty well-known fact, and is observed by 99% of growers. It may be of greater concern in container gardens where space for root growth is limited by the container size, but it is bad practice to grow multiple plants in a single container. It forces the plants to compete for nutrients and one always ends up stronger than the other, and the smaller one can get choked out. You want to give each seedling a decent amount of space for lateral growth. Again, these problems may be more pronounced in container gardens but it's still bad practice.

Why not just enough plants to fill up your setup? Packing multiple seedlings into single containers is not going to substantially increase your yield. In fact, like I said before, two plants grown in a single container will yield quite a bit less than if you had grown them separately. Feel free to ask others about this situation, but I think you'll find pretty much the same response as what I've given you. I've been growing for over 10 years and I speak from experience... not second hand info that I'm just repeating.

I had a water pump that pumped water via tubes to the rockwool cubes and dripped back down into the res. No need for hand watering this way. I have one seedling per net pot, and yes they probably do pop out faster with the smaller net pot, but I am a bit concerned about the root situation getting tangled as well. I am growing from non-feminized seeds, so at some point am going to have to remove the males. I am considering transferring the females, once sexed, into 5 gallon buckets. So each flowering female would have its own 5 gallon bucket. I may just leave them all in one res like you have it too, haven't decided yet. This is my first indoor grow, so its a learning process.

Go back and re-read my post. First off, I never said you CAN'T do it, I said it is not the best way to do it. I am also talking about multiple plants in a single CONTAINER, not reservoir. And I also stated that it's a bigger issue in container gardens than hydro setups. Just because something works doesn't mean it's the right way to go about doing it.
