my babies have been under lights for 12 days now and i am very pleased with there progress. At first the leaf edges were starting to curl but i think i have that under control now after lifting the lights to 18" away from the tops.
should i lower the lights or should i leave them as they are for now. As the plants grow i have been lifting the light an inch at a time to keep the same distance away.
The plants are starting to smell a little so i,m thinking of putting them in my shed grow room. At the moment they are in my bedroom wardrobe set-up next to my bed. lolol
any advice would be gladly recieved.

yep the curl looks like heat stress, are they from seed or clone? heat stress can cause hermies. what are your temps peaking at?

they are from seed (white widows) and the temp at its peak is 81 degrees and lowest is 78. i have yet to instal a 6" fan and filter. i have been using a 9" fan from time to time

what is "hermies" please

will they be mothers/father or will you harvest these?

Hermies are when the plant has both male and female parts if you will. so it will have the buds and the balls so to say..

Doesn't look like heat stress to me. Twelve days under a 400 watt light you should have them about a foot apart not continue 18" distance. They are used to the heat from the light now. If the temp goes down when the lights are off you should be fine. OH yeah, I bet in a day or two, those 'Curled' up leaves will start to lose some of thier green. The rest of the plant is done with them and they will soon die and fall off. Or be pulled off.

actually leaves cringing or curling upwards around the edge of the leafe is the plants attempt to retain water and is due to heat stress! i doubt that light was always that high away from those plants

these were all female seeds from a good sorce
now the plants are used to the heat from the lamp should i lower it.

use the back of your hand at the canopy height to determine if it is comfortable. will they be mothered or flowered?
