Which is it? Perfect or overrated?

No Merical Grow doesn't suck if you know how to use it. Its not reayl recomended for noobs to use because the the nutes that are added into it. Don't start nuting untill the plant is 1 month old.

The over-rated comment was directed towards FoxFarm (which are very good products by the way).

It's just a moisture retentive soil mixture w/Osmocote in it, according to Scotts.
From a week ago, in reply to an e-mail I sent them.

"Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix feeds for 3 months with Osmocote. Osmocote works on the principle of osmosis, which is how the product gets its name. I would recommend it to anyone, especially noobs.... just add water, you know?

I think most everyone fucks up their first plant, or as many as it takes until they get serious about it. I know when I first started I didn't expect much.

Potting Soil

I use their organic fertilizers and their stuff is awesome and very well priced.
