nothing wrong with any soil, so long as you understand how it was made and if it has nutes infused in it.

Always mix more perlite in it for drainage.

Dont get stupid crazy about additives. Potting soil for the most part is healthier than outside soil............

Miracle-Gro is the shit.

Yeah, that's why it's sold at so many hydroponics and garden centers, and recommended by all the experts. Get real man. It may be suitable for houseplants, and with a lot of tweaking and supplementation it could be used to grow marijuana if there's absolutely nothing else available, but why would anyone with any knowledge and experience choose to use it over the numerous other choices that are so much more appropriate?

If that's all that is readily available to you, I understand that. If you don't have the money to spend on better stuff, I understand that. Hell, if you are just growing bag seed and you really don't care that much about producing the best possible weed, I understand that. But if you are results-oriented, knowledgeable, and have invested a good chunk of money on lights, fans, and other grow-room goodies, then why the hell would you choose to use such an inferior product?

Cuz MG grows my plants like they're in hydro. Oh, and it wouldn't be sold in so many places if it weren't the shit. Inferior?.... take a look at FDD's pics on page one.

I have seen his pics and they are awesome. That proves that he is a highly experienced and skilled grower who knows what he's doing. It certainly doesn't prove that Miracle Grow is a fantastic product. MG is sold at grocery stores and places like WalMart because is cheap, easy to use, and provides good results for a wide range of plants regardless of the users skill level. None of that has anything to do with its suitability for growing marijuana. If you use it and get good results, then good for you. Unfortunately, that is not the case for a majority of marijuana growers. Again, there are many other products available that are much more appropriate and problem-free in marijuana grow-ops.
