Temps get over 90 degrees F in the Summer. If I build an insulated and ventilated grow box and keep it inside a shed..what can I do about high temps or would that be an issue if the box was very insulated? I know I can lower water temps...I just think air temps may get too high.

need some details man,,, what size box, what size shed, what type/size light, hydro or dirt, what type of grow are you doing, where this she is,,, all kinda stuff like that would help. "mo betta details mo betta ansirs" lol

I want to build this exact grow box in a 10 x 16 shed. The shed has no insulation and no heating or AC eBay: DOUBLE WIDE GROW BOX - 3 CHAMBER - 30 PLANT SYSTEM (item 160110468655 end time May-04-07 16:17:00 PDT)

you could install a window unit ac or maybe since heat rises you could put vents close to the roof to let hot air out and then have something pull fresh air in. The latter would be cheapest and if you can get a good enough pull of fresh air it would keep it around the same temp as outside. Either way it shouldn't be much trouble.

"cool" lol setup ya got there. if a/c is outa the question i would try to run a vent line in from under the shop and 1 more out the top. the temps under that big of a shop may be alil cooler than the shop temps. but watchout for humidity probs tho. and a cool tube on an hps works wuuuuunders. oh and you will just have the lights on at night right? keep an eye out for light leaks!! hope this helps some and good luck

i grew a plant outside in the middle of the summer and it was fine. i live in Phoenix, Arizona. It gets like 110+ F during the summer.

Thanks guys. I think I will try the venting options mentioned. l don't want the added expense of insulating and heating / cooling that building.
