Default dirt or hydro?
i'm on the edge. do i keep it a hobby? or do i take it to the legal limit? i like my soil. used it for over 15 years now. does hydro always yield more? i've never grown hydro? the whole water everywhere scares me. then i need reservoirs and pumps and drains and a water supply. i'd have to change my whole operation. is it worth it in the end? if i decide to go to the limit, is hydro the best for indoor yield? or can i do just as well in soil?

dirt or hydro?

I watch that dutch movie and in it the dutch say that they done both and found that soil is the best quality and prefer the soil over hydro. The hydro is faster and the movie was old and I'm sure there have been several improvements.

I'm just getting started and have been watching and reading tons

i'm sold on the natural-ness of soil and organically grown things. i saw this great site... Alaska Bountea Organic Compost Tea System - Organic soil amendments for soil fertility, increased yield of organic fruits, vegetables and flowers for organic gardening

it talks about how the soil being alive and healthy is the key to the biggest, strongest pest free plants. things that chemicals of hydro can't match. the grower who developed this tea in alaska has like 9 guiness world records for the biggest friuts and vegetables.

something about learning and using the natural earth appeals to me.

Hey FDD.... I to have only ever grown in soil. But many of my friend and family swear Hydro is the best. I have seen both results first hand from same seed's and prefer the taste of dirt to chem. But I am getting lured in to the speed of the hydro. And have now been buying pumps and lines.
So soon I am going to need some advise on growing.
But the difference is I know how to read GrowFAQ.
Unlike some of the New people. You guy's know who you are
