A better deal would be a non switchable cheaper HPS and some flouro tubes or smaller halide or cfl's for a seperate veg/mother area no matter how small.

Switchable ballasts are pointless with the extra time wasted cycling harvests in one space with one light.

i dont have enough space to have seperate harvests, atleast i dont think i do. The only space I have is 3ft by 4ft by 7ft closet space?
would I be able to split harvests?
