ive looked all over for mylar (i live in aus and im wondering if its called something else here) and i was wondering whats the next best thing to mylar? would a mirror be any good?

no mirrior aint no goods at all the next best thing would probably be flat white paint or go to a party store, dollor stor or anything of the sort and look for gift wrapping paper thats silver on the inside ITS MYLAR for 2 dollars a roll

i'm not sure what the windscreen stuff is. It could possibly be mylar. But then again it could be something similar to aluminum foil (or tin foil not sure what it's called in Aus), & foil is not a good substitute for mylar as it can cause hotspots that can burn plants. have you considered just going to a hydroponics store or ebay or something to just order some 2mil or 4mil double sided mylar?

Dont mess around with that reflective dollar store crap, find some panda plastic, its pretty rugged plastic, black on one side, white on the other, you should be able to find it at a hardware store, grow shop etc...

WTF are u talkin bout click my sig the mylar alt it IS mylar wtf.... n if that plastic gets to hot one side will melt and that panda plastic only reflects like 60% light the flat white paint does more than that
