im doing a closet grow soon ...

would it be a bad idea to start growing the plants on some cfl lights then when ready to flower change over to a 400w hps n keep the moms on the cfls ... i was thinking 3 cfl's for 2 moms about 4 ft tall... let me know thanks everyone

Not enough info... What type of CFLs? over how much space. I veg with CFLs and they work great, but I use 10 26w 6500ks plus 5 floros.

That should be fine but I would think way more than 3CFLs to veg plants and keep mothers that are 4ft.
