on most websites it calls the Ocean Foresty one a medium ???
so would i be able to place straight into it from the bag or should i mix anything in it because I know that the original fox farm soil can be used straight from the bag so ???

Your gonna get mixed responses on that question about using Ocean Forest by itself or with other stuff. I think most people would agree it is good to mix it with LightWarrior or Perlite of some kind that way you can make that expensive bag of dirt last longer and have better drainage with the added perlite. I use Ocean Forest by itself and my plants are loving it.
