Hi all im new to the site and finally starting to get my lazy ass from the couch
and starting to set up my own "garden"
Now whats been causing my baked mind troubles for past 20 minutes is the amount of co2 that my "future" plants will consume.

My growing area is very small unfortunately 50cm * 40 cm * 140cm , 2,8 cubic meters and I think I can roughly cut out 0,8 cubic meters from the space that pots and lamps will take and to keep math simple.
and probably try to fit 4 plants on that space.

back to the issue (man im baked)
Ok so I got 2000 litres of free space with 4 plants and I aim to get 1000 - 2000 ppm co2 levels in there ( 2 - 4 liters) so I would need to know how much the plants would use it to keep the level steady

I will produce the co2 by making ethanol by fermentation process (or what the hell you call it in english but you know , water.sugar and yeast. and
replacing half the water and adding more sugar every 24 hours to keep the process alive and co2 production relatively steady. And as the lights are off the process of making co2 also drops down with the temporature as I think it should,.

According to my background studies with good ol chemistry and few joints later I come up that producing 1 litre of pure ethanol would make 387 litres of co2..

So if I got 2 liters of the stuff going on all the time, and is ethanol percent would increase by 5 % per 48 hours (going to make the more excat calculations as soon I get my ethanol measurement thingy) then I would make 0,1 liters of pure alcohol per 48 hours which would be 38.7 litres
so in hours I would be making 0,8 litres of co2.

So after this mile long description, how much you guys think I would need to produce co2 per hour for this kind of growing space, which is easy to adjust by increasing the amount of ethanol producing. Or if some1 happens to know a cheap way to measure co2 levels would also rock.
