i have killer bag seed,4x4 grow area 16sq,with 2 gal pots i can only fit 16 plants total.....problem..over thirty seeds have sprouted...this was just to pass the time but all has gone well while waiting for seeds from nirvana,another story...O.K....question,im able to fit 32 pots at 1 gal size,,is this o.k. untill im able to sex the plants or will this be to late...i would hate to see the little suckers go to waste...point being,hoping by starting more,i will know i did not throw away any that could have been female. thanks for the info earlier fdd but did not get back for further info about continuing untill harvest in these pots....thanks hope this is not a stupid question BM

Rough estimate is that for each gallon your plant will grow about one foot in height. Does that help?

dude... grow as many as you can and sex them
if you only got room for 20, grow the 20 strongest looking seedlings.
if you only got room for 10, grow the 10 strongest...

thanks mogie,i guess i should have been clear about wanting more females,the reason for using the 1 gallons until able to sex the plants,then moving on with what girls i have in larger pots or is that to late to transplant.

If you have such a small space your gonna wann go 12/12 real quick almost a sog type grow. I would early sex the plants if it were me so I know what Im sticking in there since its so tight. Pull a clone off each plant get it rooted then throw the clones into 12/12 for 5 days and then match the female clones to its original parent and you ll know your going to be getting the females into flower and chuck the males before wasting time space and possibly ruinging a whole crop by missing a seed pod but work quick as your room is limited so your females will need to go into 12/12 soon

come grow i hear ya.!!!!!!! im hoping for 20 girls that would be great...the smoke the seeds came from can not tell the strain,hoping for sativa..it had that couch lock feel. i should be able to tell in a few more days.

i have 21 plants flowering in a 3x3 with 600w HPS, 1 gallon pots.

thanks fdd...thats what im talking about..ill hope for the best,put them all under the 400hps after about a week under the flours,then move the flours lengthwise along the walls with the actinic t8s and keep my fingers crossed...veg..sex,and flower...thanks again ALL for the help...great site!!!!
