Default interrupt the dark cycle??

i have been told numerous times that interrupting the dark cycle with 1 hour of light will help your plants produce more buds produce more females are these all myths or is there any actual reason this should be done.

Was it numerous people who have told you that, or one guy who told you numerous times?

It appears that you are talking about doing this during flowering, since it is to create more buds.

That definitely will work, but only to prolong flowering indefinitely.
