what is a mother plant and how do you know if it is a mother

how much nutrients should i use at the beggining part of growth ( rule of thumb throughout veg )

how do you trim the plants accordingly ( wont that take away from the bud ) is it necessary to trim ?

the nutes depend on what brand you use a mother is your best female that you want clones from only trim dead leaves

He pretty much got it there short and sweet. You will keep your mother plant which is a known female in constant veg never goes out of 24 hour light or at least no lower then 18/6 as you dont want it to flower. You will keep her to pull clones from. Nutes vary you have to read the bottle and use the reccomended dosage for the style of grow your doing.For anewbie maybe use half what they say and slowly move up so you learn.Trimming is really needed for a mom except the lower or dead leaves. In a flowering plant you will just maintain if your going scrog or sog then you trime most the lower branches before going into flower and consintrate only on the big main cola on each plant since plants will be very short start to finish
