Default dwc quick question
I heard that during flowering i should reduce the water level of the buckets by half. Its supposed to allow more oxygen to the roots. Is this a common thing to do in dwc?

It works well especially in the buckets as the root mass can get quite large. When they get big enough they will really suck the water out of those bubble buckets quick so you might be better of filling them. I prefer an air space in my dwc systems when the plants have developed roots.

You can but if the way you are doing it is working well then why change it? How big are your plants? 1400 ppm is kinda hard to say because I don't know anything about your grow, strain, plant size, lights, growth history, and most of all I cant look at them. Best advice is if it is not broken don't try to fix it.

I use a strip test for fish tanks and ive found that you really have to watch the nitrate levels because youre ph will be fine but unless you have a nitrate test strip youre not really checking the health of the nutes. With a 5 test strip it will show you whether the nutes are safe in nitrate levels.Been doing this awhile. If you reduce youre level of water/nutes get the strip test or change the nutes once a week.
