Does this product use an utrasonic fogger? don't know how well that would work but a cool idea none the less.

That gives me an idea-----I could use an ultrasonic pond fogger to atomize nutes and h2o and build a set-up for sale to growers

from what ican tell yes it uses an ultrasonic he is obviously working for them.
does ultrasonic have potential of course. but earl says it makes heat so i have to say that worries me. if earl says it i would take it seriously .
alltho if you can overcome heat issues you could have something to work with.
nothing is impossible it is all a matter of how we play the game.
beat the heat and you may have something here.

Earl you have water cooling do you think ultrasonic coupled with water cooling could provide a viable solution?

I have made 4 systems based on ultrasonic fogging and I can tell you that it is not worth it. The fog is simply too dry to give enough water for marijuana plants. It is most commonly used in conjunction with Ebb and Flow or NFT to create a secondary root structure to absorb liquid water. But you need two reservoirs as the fog will burn roots at normal nutrient levels. It does create heat, but with a separate reservoire that can usually be avoided.

The Nutramist system is a good investment for those who aren't REALLY good at DIY... just google it. It's also a great design for DIY guys to build their own.

Nutramist Ultrasonic Foggers For Hydroponics, Horticulture, Propagation, Foliar Feeding, Greenhouse And Grow Room Humidification An Pesticide Application:

Oh and ultrasonic humidifiers form too large a droplet for aeroponics and lack the teflon coating on the diaphram to prevent degredation from nutrients. FYI.

It IS promising, but a better, albeit far more expensive option, is the ATOMIX system. It uses compressed air to pulverize water into a similar sized droplet, but at a MUCH higher density... no lack of water there.

Atomix Aeroponic Systems from Aeroculture Limited. Authentic aeroponics.

If your going to try, GREAT! We need more people exparamenting out there. But be prepared to have a supplamental source of water and nutrients in addition to the fogger. Hope that helps!

im not really sure how .4-6 microns are too large. But anyways, the teflon coated discs are supplied with the dominaero. The reason you use the teflon isnt because of nutrient degradation but because the OEM brass disc wear out within a week.

You are right about selective nutrients, salt-based do not play well with fog, we recommend an amino chelated nutrient like humboldts master a & b.
