The problem with the trimeter is the tds probe is a factory replacement item,
in other words, you have to send in the whole meter when the tds probe fails.
Now you don't have a pH meter
while your tds meter is in for warranty. not good.
The trimeters are not very accurate,
good to .1
I have one, and wish I had the $220 back.
There are only two mfg that make pH meter with .01 accuracy,
for under $1000.
Milwaukee and PinPoint.
You should be able to find them on ebay for about $90-100
You can also get a matching tds meter
for about the same price,
so you save money
and get better equipment.
.01 is 10 times more accurate than a meter that measures to .1
A spare replacement probe can be kept on the shelf,
and you can change out a faulty probe in seconds,
not waiting on the mail.
PinPoint is American made.
Milwaukee is made in Romania.
I have one of each. |
