I bought a grow check combo meter from hanna, I wanted to know where in my rubber maid tub i should place the probes, i have a air bubbles in there and want to know if that will affect the readings.

I just got my seeds today, (ordered on the 7th, delivered today) and want to know if I can just put the seeds in my starter plugs and have them in the net pots or if I should have them in something different to start out with.

Turn the bubbles off while you measure the pH.

calibrate your meter often.

never put your probe into RO or H2o2.

start the seeds in paper towel in a cd case, or airing cubard.

Then how do you get the root into the starter cube?

start them in the started plugs,
that why they call them starter plugs.

You can't do this with a paper towel.

thanks earl, you always answer my questions. My only problem is my meter is continuously reading and in my setup i will always have air bubbles...So should i make sure the probe is on the bottom of the my bin? I have a setup that looks like yours.

I hang my probe in the middle of the rez,
and I do not have an airpump in that rez,
just the waterfall, and spray.

Read the directions that came with your meter.

The directions may state tolerances,
and preferred placement.

The instructions sheet from my PinPoint meter states:
"Place the probe, so that air bubbles do not form under the probe."

It's not really a problem,
unless you have air bubbles forming
right under your probe.

The ph probe is draped over the chiller pump's hose,
and is off the bottom.

The tds probe is laying on the bottom,
and should be at least 3 inches away from your pH probe.
