Would all you hydro growers out there post what kind of nutes you guys use? And also, can u post what ppm ranges that u keep for the different stages of plant growth. Pics would be great too. Im new to the hydro thing and would like to get a general idea of what everyone elses PPMs run. Here is a link of my current hydro grow. tips or suggestions are appreciated. I have heard start low like 1/8 of what the bottle tells you for you age plant. Now with a PPM watch and see are the plant drinking more water (ppm's will go up) or are they drinking the nutes (ppm's will go down). If you start to see burns from the nutes flush or add water to delute.

now with that said Iam only about 1 month into DWC myself but that is the info I have found and makes sence.

Currently my (2) 25 day old plants from seeds have 100ppm of foxfarm big grow/big bloom, and the plants are drinking more water then nutes so I watered down the nutes by adding 1 gallon distilled/phed water droping the ppm to 90. The strain that iam growing is easy to burn so iam going to play it safe the whole way.

Lucas formula: Gen Hydro - ML/GAL:
no GROW(0) MICRO( BLOOM(16).. = ec 2.0/1000ppm
I use 1ml/gal cal/mag also but but without it I get Mag defficency(<<?? deffiencies?) ec 2.2/1100ppm

Lucas says 0-8-16 ml/gal is all they need.. no need to flush.. feed thru to hrvest..
gives them 2 more weeks to bulk up.. no need for plant roids... I stop giving them the cal/mag about 1 week before the cut.. it has too much N.... no metalic taste...

Temps are important too.

Experience is the best teacher.

I use general hydroponics nutes with some other additives... I start my ppm's about 500-600 and am up to 900-1000 by the time flower starts. By the end I'm probably up to around 1200-1300.

Advanced Nutrients 850 ppm in 1 1/2 week of flower...for veg I start at 300 ppm and end around 700-800. I've tried ramping it up more but I always get burn. My system right now usually gets the tips a little whitish like the start or nute burn but then I pull em back just a hair.

i use fox farms trio, grow big, tiger bloom and big bloom. i also use some techna fklora's sugar daddy, epsom salts and molasses. it really doesnt matter what nutrients i use i always start my seddlings and clones with no nutes. then go up to 200 ppms. for a large healthy vegging plant i stay between 400 - 600 ppms, and for a flowering momma i go between 700 and 900 usually. that is a 500x scale from e.c some plants are different and can take more or less, always start on the low end and work your way up. ( i have grown plants that can take up to 1200 ppm on the 500x scale

if your running the aero, don't be greedy. Better to be safe than sorry.
start low around 500 week 1 and work up to 1000 week 4. Some strains can take more than others, but maxing out around 1000 is safe for majority. Remember that with food constantly available, the ppm don't have to be that high.
Are you using tap water, or RO?

Unfortunately I am using store bought RO water now. I need to get my own filter some time. Buying all this water is getting expensive. Anyone know where i can get a cheap RO filter?

yea mine max out at about 1000 ppm usually

All of these PPM measurements are great and all, but a conversion factor listed with them would help..
