No nagging on the technique..just heard bad things about the company which peddles the things. Also trying to figger out if one of these deals really need a submergible pump and individual misting or dripping etc. Lot of folks speak of using the system with highly aereated water. Like an air pump for a fish tank. Whutcha think?

My system uses the bubbledisk I got with it for aeration but I have heard from some people like Earl that you can use the fish tank air pump as well. The drip system is not needed but I find really helps support the roots of your system in early growth. Like said before, I think bubbleponics is mostly deep water culture with the pumps only being important until the roots reach the resevoir. I actually find the water pumps helps later on just to give the roots at the top just a little bit more water as well, though many of the holes in my pump have clogged and only a few are still shooting water out and I am not keen to take it out and look at it until this grow is done, so I am just depending on my system being Deep Water Culture like I said. For my next grow I would like to re-build this in a bigger tub and get a better water pump with bigger hoses, and also will not use the companies nutrients in future grows.

Hey all, just thought I would add my two cents. I am one of the peeps here that have bad mouthed SH. I had a horrible time with their customer service, and my kit took nearly 2 months to arrive, and they forgot certain things in the box, told me they would send them, and never did. Second, I didn't know when I bought it, cause i was a noob, but I could build the entire thing for 35 bucks, minus the lights, so essentially, they are a huge ripoff. Not to mention they tack on 10-35 bucks on each light.

HOWEVER, the technology behind the design is perfect. The pump is essential for early and very fast growth, I have tried with and without it, and it really helps early on. The nutes that SH use sorta blow, I switched to foxfarm and have had great success since the switch. I also added a T to my air tube and added another air stone which has really helped. I wouldn't try growing more than 3 plants on it because with the good fox farm nutes the roots get wayyyyy to huge and thick.

I have gotten some great experience with the system, so any questions just ask dudes.

P.S. I'm high as fuck on a wonderful bush I chopped two weeks ago from my bubbleponics system YUM

The bubbledisk came with the kit when I bought it bionic but I imagine you could probably buy the disk for $5-10 and the air pump for it for $10-15. Zoe I agree that the stealth hydro system is a very basic system that most of us can set up ourselves and is a rip off. I think if you really look at stealth hydro, its market and the people who are buying from them though, a majority are noob growers like myself who want something easy that they'll understand. What sold me into buying stealth hydro instead of maybe investing in a better system from another company? A VIDEO!!! No matter what anyone says stealth hydro is one of the only companies out there who's put good money into their advertising campaign, especially as something appealing for noobs who don't even understand what hydro is. If you were like me then you used to think hydro was just pot grown indoors! Most of the other systems you see online you cant get a lot of info besides on the forums on, and as you all know, you don't end up on the forums until you start having trouble with stealth hydro! Yes Stealth Hydro is not the greatest company in the world, but they capitalized on a cheap easy idea and I think are doing a pretty good job (as a company).

Zoe link one of the forums of your grows, I can't find any of your threads, would love to see more. What kinds of nuutrients are you using in all? I am looking into switching, thanks!

I started my grow first grow with the SH nutes. Since then I have using the 3 bottle fox farm liquids with the fox farm solubles, and superthrive. I am using about 400watts of flouros right now. In 2 months I will be getting an HPS.

The kit comes with a bubble disc, I recommend buying a second, or even a third. The roots love the bubbles and the more bubbles the less chance of root rot. Also, I have heard some people say the kit has problems with organic nutes; I have never had a problem though.
