coco coir and hydroton

Has anyone tried this combo? If so,is a 50/50 mix good?

ive never tried a 50/50 mix, however i think that it would be really aerated, and the hydroton will be reusable. what growing method are you using? i have fine coco coir mixed with the coarse coir for orchids and it works great. i think i may try hydroton myself when i use up all the bricks of coarse orchid coir.

Coco,but it stays wet too long.I have read where people use 70 coco 30 perlite.That probably works fine,although personally I would like to be able to reuse the hydroton.

are you feeding them by hand or do you have them hooked up to a ponics system?
