Ok, so I've got a dual chamber grow cab and to keep things simple I'm using ebb & flow for my seedlings/veg. I found a medium cat litter box at walmart (see pic) that was on sale I thought I was going to use for the tray measuring approx. 17"longX12"wideX5"deep.
Today, however, I picked up a thin black plastic jiffy-pellet tray measuring 21"longX10"wideX2.5"deep.
Considering i'm using ebb n flow and the tray will be used only for vegging plants no more than 12" high, which one would be the best to use?

I would go with the deeper one consider the fact that you are using that type of system you want the tray to flood with as much water as possible there for it need to ber deeper for more water... Just my suggestion

True that, might just hang on to the jiffy tray just for sprouts.
