so im in the aerogarden and only one of my plants roots have gotten out of the foam cylinders....i have tried altering them and stuff but i just cant get the roots out. one is staying small and healthy looking while the other one looks like the stem got crushed. my one that is rooting is blasting off and 4 times the heigth of the others.

Heres what worked for me
germinate in paper towel and plastic bag - bout 3 days they are a good inch long root tap -
take the sponge and rip it down one side, and pretty well to the middle, so it can lay flat if you wanted it to. put it back in the net holder, and drop your sprout in with the tap root as close to the bottom as possible.

I let one sprout in paper towel for 4 days, and it was able to touch the bottom of the net.

got some bag seed 10 days old in there right now - im just playing with em to see how the thing works - i used the regular sprouting nutes that came with the aerogarden. Ever seen nute burn! ouch! ya, dont use em (i bought fox farm 6 pack today)...

the plants do grow hella fast. I will probably sprout and clone in this thing, and move them to the real system around week 2 old.
