ppm meter question

I don't know that meter but I would think it's 124. Thats what my meter would and your should be the same.

That could explain why my plant looks like hell. I need to add a lot more nutrients to her res. Thanks

mine actually shows the 3 digit number and if ppm goes into the 1000's it has a x10 blinking on the side, not sure if yours is the same but wouldn't want you to up your nutes and fry the plants before checking.

If it has 3 digit readout then, Yes,multiply by 10.

The TDS-3 website shows it reads 0 - 9999 PPM. I am inclined to believe it is a four digit readout. A simple test would be to mix a small batch of nutes strong enough to get a readout over three digits and see for yourself. You can then further dilute your mix unitl you are at the right PPM.

I agree. To check, measure distilled water (0 ppm), then tap water (around 250 ppm depending on area), and then a small glass of straight nutrients or ph up/down solution (high ppm in the thousands). By the way, im pretty sure yours means 124 and not 1240. Especially because i've never heard of a ppm meter/pen rounding instead of giving an exact measurement.

Many entry level pens have a 3 digit screen and use a multiple of 10
