After germinating in a water soaked paper towel put the seeds in th AG. CHECK them if you don't see green in a couple of days. Cut the foam pads in half before you insert the seeds. They will often grow in the wrong direction if the foam is not cut. No green you pull the pod and then open it and carefully straighten the root. get the seed head near the top of the pod. They will grow.

My question is how soon can you go to the flower (12/12) stage ? I'd like some other opinions on this. Is four sets of leaves and three weeks enough 18/6 time?

once you are ready you can go into the flowering stage. You just want to remember that your plant will most likely double in size when flowering so plan according to the amount of space you have.

does the plant only double-triple in size, or will it continue to grow at that increased rate as long as you give it 12/12 light ?

under 12/12 lights your plant will only grow horizontally and vertically enough to bud and flower. I may be wrong.

that might be about right. i not measuring exactly and i just refill res from 2- 1 gallon pre mix that i make.

But, 60 oz is 1.7 liters i think, and i can say that i put at least a liter every 24hr.

i recently chopped a bunch of useless fan leaves again. also, switched res mix to a more bloom solution as prescribed by the General Hydroponics instructions.

i have about 39 inches of height. i have my hps mounted on back wall as high as i can get it. i lose 10 inches or so. i have had my plants in 12/12 for 12days and i am just starting to show male or female.

they did grow more out and up when i switched. my biggest was about 12-14 inches tall with 5-7 nodes. it is now, closer to 20+inches and almost touching my HPS light. i have the AG on top of a upside down bucket to help keep as close to lights as possible. right now my big one is about 3 inches away from my hps. i am just about ready to remove the bucket and lower the AG to allow for 3-4 more weeks of growth.

my little ones are stretching for light due to competition from others. need to chop my males soon and ease some stress on the rest of them.

unfortunately i think my big one is either Hermie or a flat out sausage.

oh well hope i can get more definitive proof of balls soon so i can get rid of.

I plan to pull the males when I can identify them How long before you were able to establish sex?

things seem slow but now i have a more concentrated bloom mix running so hopefully that will help improve flower growth to determine sex.

i also think i have an issue with bagseed. gonna post a new thread and see what happens.

6-8 weeks of veg is when they start to show preflowers.

Are you saying I should stay at 16/8 cycle for 6-8 weeks?
